The Bill (Reg.№411) introduces supplements to Clause 7, 8, 10 and 11 of the Law "On fighting Corruption", which establishes liability for the corruptive actions and violation of the special restrictions and sets demands of the financial control.
During the discussion, it was stressed that on 11 June 2009, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law of Ukraine "On Basis of Corruption Fighting and Prevention" that was already signed by the President of Ukraine and will come into force on 1 January 2010 . The Law already envisaged certain principles of the bill suggested; consequently the Committee recommends rejection of the bill.
